2nd Singapore Short Stories Showcase (4S)

“He wondered what would happen next…”

So did we… And to our delight, we were not disappointed by this edition’s diverse field of plots. From aliens invading Singapore to time travel, we were transported into the children’s Wild Wild West of sci-fi. From family drama to friendship feuds, we saw that children aren’t that innocent after all and frequently, they have much sharper observations human intricacies more than we think they do. From crime thrillers to heroic fire and tsunami rescues, we were constantly kept on the edge because after reading more than 800 entries, we have concluded that when dealing with the imagination of our young writers, the only thing you can be sure is that you will always be wondering what would happen next, given the sudden swerves in plots and many acts of God.
